About the Event
The Indie Meme Archival Project's exhibit, The Road to IMFF, celebrates Indie Meme's journey from its grassroots beginnings to the vibrant success of the Indie Meme Film Festival (IMFF) today. This is a story of South Asian cinephiles merging with local communities with one mission: to bring independent South Asian cinema to Texas. It traces all the way back to our first single screening and earliest sponsors, through the first Indie Meme Film Festival in 2016, and the continued growth of our annual festivals and events. We will have a discussion panel, show oral history interviews, and never before seen footage from past events. Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is free, but registration is required as space is limited.
We look forward to your presence!
