Indie Meme presents Priya Guns

Please join us for a candid conversation with Priya Guns about her debut novel, Your Driver is Waiting, as well as her work as an actor. Priya's writing has previously appeared in short story anthologies, gal-dem, Spring magazine, and anonymously in the Guardian. She is a Creative Writing graduate of Kingston University, and her film credits include Just Drive (2018), Tide of Lies (2019), and This Place (2022).

Indie Meme has long championed progressive South Asian and Iranian voices through film screenings and festivals over the past decade. As we embark on a new vision for Indie Meme, we aim to expand the avenues through which we connect storytellers with their audiences.

Indie Meme Lit is our latest initiative - we will host events that build bridges between communities through books and writing. We'll spotlight South Asian authors who are tackling taboos and sharing fresh narratives.
