DIRECTOR'S BIO
Ayush Dahiya is a final year Economics student at The University of Texas at Austin. He has had a knack for editing since middle school and stumbled upon his passion for writing/directing while helping a friend shoot an intro video for his singing performance for a major college show. Ever since then, he has dedicated all of his life outside of academics to film. When he is not in the process of exploring the city, discovering stories and writing, he is directing/DP'ing intro videos, music videos, & covering live events to keep his cinematic muscle alive. He is fascinated by what the world has to offer, especially in the darker realms of humanity. His debut short reflects the despair of one of the most alarming and urgent issues faced by a massive portion of the world today. He intends to continue exploring the disturbing tendencies of society and shine a humanistic light on them through real, gritty, and hard-hitting cinema; drawing inspiration from the likes of Alejandro Iñárritu, Denis Villeneuve, Dardenne Brothers, & Anurag Kashyap.
