SYNOPSIS
A surprise encounter leads a daydreaming, young, line cook to discover that perhaps her heart’s desire may be found in the unlikeliest of places.
DIRECTOR’S BIO
Known for her fierce determination and brazenly unapologetic heart, AJ SIMMONS is a Mestiza Canadian actor, writer, and filmmaker. With a diverse foundation in classical theatre and dance, AJ’s passion for storytelling is infused with a layered complexity. As an emerging filmmaker AJ has produced several short films which went on to screen at festivals including the ReelAsian Film Festival, Toronto Urban Film Festival and the Toronto Silent Film Festival; as an actress she has appeared onstage with The Factory Theatre, Young People's Theatre, Aluna and Playwrights Theatre Centre; and on the small screen you can catch AJ on The 100, Fast Layne, and the award winning webseries All For One, and Someone Not There. As an emerging director, AJ believes change begins with action, which is why she endeavours to create films which champion and empower diverse voices both in front of and behind the camera.
